Celebrations at Chor Bizarre as it Completes a Landmark 35 years!

Rohit Khattar Relives the Old World Charm with his Inimitable Hospitality

Chor Bizarre, renowned for its regional Indian cuisine and authentic Kashmiri dishes, celebrates 35 glorious years in its famously whimsical setting. To mark the occasion, the restaurant has a special anniversary promotion where patrons can enjoy 35% off on the menu for a period of 35 days starting January 12, 2026.

The year also marks the 70th anniversary of Hotel Broadway established in 1956. The hotel is now reopening its doors as an Alivaa Collection Hotel. The hotel is fully refurbished while retaining the character, warmth, and personalized touch that have made it a family favourite from grandparents to grandchildren over three decades.

To mark both the milestones, Chor Bizarre’s most loved dishes have been thoughtfully priced to reflect the celebratory numbers of 35 and 70 years. The All-You-Can-Eat Chaat experience at just Rs.350, is a delightful nod to the original launch days, where this was laid out in Chor Bizarre’s 1927 Fiat – a setup which captured Delhi’s imagination.

At Rs.700, the Kabab Platter features Galouti Kabab, Gazab ka Tikka, Dal Chor B’zar, Lachha Paratha while the vegetarian version features Paneer Angara, Tandoori Malai Phool, Lachha Paratha, Dal Chor B’zar (Rs.525).

The famous Kashmiri Tarami Taster (INR 975 for non-veg/ Rs.775 for veg) allows guests to enjoy signature dishes from the popular Wazwan, a traditional multi-course meal that is a cornerstone of Kashmiri culture.

Guests can now also enjoy Happy Hours daily from 3 pm to 6:30 pm.

Many events have been planned to celebrate these milestone years for the press and our regulars who have been visiting us for decades. From exciting food trails/ Pop Ups with noted journalists and experts (Kaveree Bamzai, Anoothi Vishal, Sadaf Hussain), book reading sessions with celebrated authors (Amitabha Bagchi, Anisur Rahman), we also have open mic events and quiz sessions planned.

The talks above position Chor Bizarre as a cultural salon, and shall introduce regular conversations on our city, our heritage and almost anything to do with food and memories. Other than the talks, Chor Bizarre revives its famous heritage walks – ‘Chor Bizarre’s Memory Lanes’, which the restaurant had pioneered in 1990.

A walk leader shall take you on an interesting journey through the lanes of the walled city, unfurling fascinating sights and peppered with anecdotes.

Not only for guests staying at Hotel Broadway (or at any hotel), but for all Delhi residents as well as their visiting guests, this shall provide a much-needed glimpse into our city.

The walks shall commence and end at Chor Bizarre with lunch or dinner and shall be held every Sunday (or by appointment), making them an integral part of Delhi’s social calendar. The talks too shall be ongoing and usually on every Friday afternoon. There are many other exciting activities planned through the next few months.

Reflecting on the milestone, Rohit Khattar, Founder Chairman, Old World Hospitality and EHV International said, “Chor Bizarre holds a special place in my heart as it was the first restaurant that my wife Rashmi and I opened in 1990, transforming the beautiful dining room at Hotel Broadway – a hotel built by my grandfather Mr Tirath Ram Amla in 1956 and operated by my mother, Mrs Vijay Lakshmi Khattar for three decades. Therefore, the emotional connect for all of us is immense. We welcome our regulars back to participate in our talks, walks and, of course, enjoy the Chor Bizarre delicacies.”
